West Boca group endorses Deutch

If it’s up to West Boca business leaders, Democrat Ted Deutch will replace U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler’s seat in the 19th congressional district. WestPAC, the political action committee of the West Boca Chamber of Commerce, has endorsed Deutch over Ed Lynch, the Republican candidate, and Jim McCormick, who has no party affiliation. The three squared off last month in a debate before the West Boca Chamber of Commerce, ground zero in the 19th congressional district, which includes central and southwestern Palm

Beach County and parts of northern and central Broward. Wexler, D-Boca Raton, resigned to head the Center for Middle East Peace. A special election will be held April 13 to fill his seat. “It’s too bad they all could not fill the seat as they have good ideas,” said WestPAC chairman Jeff Karsin in a prepared statement.
