For Michelle Stewart it was supposed to be a weekend of firsts; her first cruise, her first trip to Mexico and her first trip with her new boyfriend. “I’m happy. As long as I’m with him so it’s okay,” explained Stewart. But this time around she’ll have to do without the trip to Mexico. Carnival Cruise Lines has canceled all stops in Mexico through May 4th citing concerns over Swine Flu. Stewart was already worried about making the stop. “I was hoping they would cancel it because I didn’t want to go there basically. Then when they changed it, I was okay with it,” added Stewart. Across Florida there have been no confirmed cases of Swine Flu. Though four state health labs have received about 70 samples of possible flu cases, only three samples have been sent on to The Centers for Disease Control for final testing. “Everyone currently that has been a suspect case, or has come down with influenza-like symptoms, has been treated and treated successfully.
