Two 17-year-old boys and a 20-year-old man were arrested Friday after they tried to break into a Crestview home while police officers were inside, reports the Northwest Florida Daily News in Fort Walton Beach. The homeowner told the Crestview Police Department that his home had been broken into twice that week, according to a police news release. While officers processed the scene early Friday afternoon, they noticed three people walking out of the woods and toward the house, according to the Daily News. The suspects, who had not yet noticed the police, walked to the back of the house. They fled on foot into the woods when confronted by police, reports the Crestview News Bulletin. After searching the woods for about an hour the Crestview Police found two of the suspects. The third suspect was arrested at his home

shortly afterwards, the report states. Police said they recovered a high-powered pellet gun, scope and ammunition from the home of one of the suspects. The gun was later identified as belonging to the victim of the burglary. Other items recovered included a shotgun removed from a gun cabinet house where the burglary occurred and police said it appeared that the suspects were returning to retrieve the remaining items, reports the Bulletin. Daquarious Buggs, 17, Devantae Coleman, 17, and Terron James, 20, were charged with armed burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief and resisting an officer without violence.
