That’s a lot of education workers

The latest U.S. Census report on state and local government workers is out, and in it we learn that the majority of Florida full-time government employees are in public education. Fully 52.4 percent of the 842,828 people counted

in the Florida survey reported working on the kindergarten through higher education spectrum. That's 379,882 in K-12 and 62,298 in higher ed. Their total payroll: $1.37 trillion.
