Ted Ginn Jr. named AFC Special Teams POM; Grove still out
The Dolphins’ game against the Jets at the Meadowlands seems like a long time ago – and it has been over a month, back on Nov. 1. But Ted Ginn Jr.’s two kickoff returns for touchdowns in that game earned him AFC Special Teams Player of the Month honors for November, it was announced Thursday. Ginn became the first player in NFL history that day to record two touchdowns of 100 yards or more in the same game. He was also the eighth player with two kickoff returns in a game, and the first to return two kicks for scores in the same quarter since Green Bay’s Travis Williams did it against Cleveland on Nov. 12, 1967. The Dolphins, who also got a fumble return for a touchdown from Jason Taylor, won the game 30-25. Ginn’s total of 299 return yards in the game is second only to the 304 yards
