Tampa man found dead, ruled homicide

TAMPA — Deputies have identified a man found dead early today and they sya his death was a murder.

Brett Aaron Coffin, 37, of 7607 Alema Street was found unconscious at  14701 Del Valle Road around 3 a.m. A resident of the house told deputies when he got home from work Coffin was inside. He died at the

scene, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to the Medical Examiner, Coffin suffered blunt trauma to his torso.

Coffin had been arrested in Hillsborough County many times — most recently in June on warrant for being a fugitive.

The exploration is ongoing.
