Talking points: Could Ted Ginn Jr. maul Bills’ pass D again?
Buffalo cornerback Terrence McGee has missed the last two weeks with a knee injury and sat out Wednesday’s practice. Anyone with a sense of history knows that could bode well for Miami’s hopes to get Ted Ginn Jr. going again. That’s where we start today’s talking points: 1. Could Ted Ginn Jr. recapture the magic against Buffalo again? When the Bills sent out a hobbled McGee to face Ginn at Miami last year, Ginn had one of the best games of his career, catching seven passes for a career-high 175 yards. McGee was trying to get past a knee injury then and he’s trying to do the same thing now. Ginn had only one catch for four yards in the teams’ meeting at Land Shark Stadium this year, and has caught more than two passes only twice this season. But one of those was a four-catch, 32-yard performance against Carolina last week, so there’s hope that Ginn and Chad Henne might be finding some chemistry. 2. This won’t be a trap game for Miami. After this weekend, the Dolphins play four of their last five against teams with winning records; the lone exception is Tennessee, which has won four straight and is playing as well as anybody right now.
