Taipei Taiwan Braces For Major Typhoon Krosa

Major Typhoon Krosa Satellite Track Heading For Tiawan

Major Typhoon Krosa Continues Towards Taiwan

The impressive western Pacwhetheric Typhoon Krosa continues to track closer to Taiwan this morning as a dangerous tropical cyclone with winds over 130kts. It also continues to take aim at the island of Taiwan and the capital city of Taipei. Taiwan lucked out with the last major Typhoon threat a few weeks back with Super Typhoon Wipha, but looks to take a direct hit from Krosa over the weekend over the northern tip of Taiwan. Major flooding, storm surge and dangerous winds can all be expected in northern Taiwan this weekend.

Typhoon Storm Chasing Western Pacwhetheric Style

There are several Storm Chasers either en-route or already on the ground in Taipei and surrounding

area’s. I will continue to monitor their progress over the weekend and will post updates here as any new information on their expedition into this monster Typhoon.

Back Home In The Hostile Atlantic

All the tropical disturbance out there either in the Gulf or Atlantic, have changed little since yesterday and the shear and dry air continue to keep the area hostile for tropical storm development. Not much to really cover until something become more organized out of the three to four invest area’s being monitored for possible development. I will continue to watch into the weekend.
