A 28-year-old Tampa woman died Saturday as a result of a fire in her home. Xaviera Williams was found dead by neighbors just after 3pm inside her residence at 1611 East Marks St. The official cause of death is still under investigation but authorities say it was related to the fire. Read More

The first news anchor in the history of WTVT has died. Joseph ‘Wayne’ Fariss passed away Friday at his home in Lake Placid at the age of 82. He was born in Tampa in 1929 and spent 39 years as a journalist in both radio and television.
