Swine Flu scare redirects cruise ships

Passengers piled off the Carnival Inspiration this morning with plenty of memories at sea, but none this trip from Cozumel. All cruises out of Tampa have now canceled trips to Mexico due to the threat of Swine Flu. “They said due to recommendations by the CDC and the situation in general that they made the decision they we weren’t going to Cozumel,” offered passenger Steven Kuzmanovich. Instead, passengers were refunded their docking fees for Mexico and spent an extra day on the water. “They didn’t make the decision until the last minute and it upset a few people,” Sue Combs recalled.
