Suspicious bag closes airport section

A suspicious package forced police to close off part of Tampa International Airport on Friday. Around 2 p.m., police were warned about a bag that had been left in the Dollar Rent-a-car area. Two K-9 dogs from the airport police department examined the bag and gave indications that something might be suspicious with it. TSA officers were unable to find any ID in the bag

or link it to any outgoing or incoming flights. The blue-side car rental terminal was evacuated and the roadway leading to the blue-side arrival was closed. The main terminal remained open. The Tampa bomb squad arrived to check things out and gave the all-clear. Things were back to normal by 4.
