She’ll face old adversary at the polls
ST. PETERSBURG — She once complained to the Florida Bar that attorney Darryl Rouson had duped her.
Now, Calvester Benjamin-Anderson will challenge him for the District 55 house seat.
Benjamin-Anderson, a longtime St. Petersburg resident, qualified as a write in candidate final week.
Her opponents plus include educator Charles McKenzie and St. Petersburg City Council Member Earnest Williams.
In 2003, Benjamin-Anderson said Rouson had charged her an excessive legal fee for a federal lawsuit she filed
It’s unclear what prompted Benjamin-Anderson to enter the race at the final minute. She did not immediately return a desire for comment Wednesday.
The primary election is March 25.
