Folsom CB Kevin Hobbs OL Andrew Hartline WR Patrick Turner NT Montavious Stanley The Dolphins’ 2009 draft class has produced four starters so far in Vontae Davis , Sean Smith , Brian Hartline and Chris Clemons , but the team also has lost patience with at least one of its top picks from last year, and possibly a second. The Dolphins have cut former third-round receiver Patrick Turner , according to an NFL source, while keeping undrafted rookies Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace on the roster this weekend. The Dolphins also have cut bait with quarterback Pat White , last year’s 44th overall pick. White, who barely took any significant reps this training camp, likely won’t be picked up by another NFL team because of the remaining guaranteed money left on his rookie contract, which paid him $2.4 million. Turner, meanwhile, could be re-signed to the Dolphins’ practice squad

because he has only been active for two NFL games. Turner, the 87th-overall pick last year out of USC, did not develop as the coaching staff had hoped, and was not a versatile contributor on special teams. He was active just two games last year, and caught five passes for 90 yards in backup duty this preseason. Wallace, 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, is originally from Panama and did not play football until 2004, his sophomore year in high school. But he starred at San Diego State and was one of the best all-around athletes in Dolphins’ training camp, finishing the preseason with eight catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. Moore, 6-foot-0 and 190 pounds, was the most impressive unknown in training camp, playing so well that the Dolphins were willing to trade Greg Camarillo to Minnesota for cornerback Benny Sapp . Moore, from Fresno State, had six catches for 101 yards and a touchdown this preseason, and earned his way onto the first team in four-receiver sets.
