Rain expected to ease by weekend
All that rain out there is expected to continue through Friday, but clear by the weekend.
The rain chance tomorrow is 50 percent but the weekend looks as though it will be drier, says Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay.
According to the National Weather Service, .06 inches of rain fell at the Tampa worldly Airport that dawn. At St. Petersburg-Clearwater airport, there was .11 inches of rainfall.

A tropical system moving from the Atlantic to the Bahamas will miss the state and keep the weekend dry, according to Bay News 9.
In addition, "a wind shift to the east-northeast by Saturday and Sunday should dry us out," Clay said.
