Predictors expect Deutch to win in Republican year

National political forecasters expect Republicans to gain seats in Congress this year, but not from districts in South Florida. The Cook and Rothenberg political reports predict that Robert Wexler’s former House seat in Broward and Palm Beach counties will remain in Democratic hands. Ted Deutch won the Democratic primary on Tuesday. Ted Deutch Ed Lynch Deutch will run against Ed Lynch — who won the Republican primary by a whisker over Joe Budd — in a special election on April 13.
