PHCC president tapped for national board


Katherine Johnson, president of Pasco-Hernando Community College since 2005, has been named to the board of directors for the American organization of Community Colleges. She will serve as an institutional representative for three years, beginning in July. See her bio here.

The AACC has been advocating for the nation’s

community colleges for 88 years. It is considered the main advocate for the colleges at the national level, and works to affect state higher education policy as well. There are currently more than 1,125 community colleges in the country, serving more than 12-million students each year.
