Paul Soliai to make his first career start at nose tackle
FOXBORO, Mass. – With veteran starter Jason Ferguson sidelined with an elbow injury, third-year pro Paul Soliai will make his first career start at nose tackle when the Dolphins visit the Patriots. Soliai did open an Oct. 12 visit from the Jets at defensive tackle, next to Ferguson in a 4-3 alignment. A week after a career outing at the Jets (six tackles, forced fumble, batted down pass), Soliai will man the middle of the Dolphins’ 3-4 scheme at the Patriots. The Dolphins have six defensive linemen now, including Lionel Dotson, who is active for the first game this season. Back-up end Tony McDaniel might see some time at nose tackle.
