A bay area family is grieving the loss of their son today. 17-year-old Dustin White was shot and killed in the parking lot of Lake Padgett Estates Clubhouse. Michael Valdez was White’s good friend. “He was very out going. He never held anything back. If he had something to say he would say it. Very funny kid. Tried to make everyone laugh. Tried to make as many friends as he could,” says Valdez. Investigators say a group of people, including White, had gathered at the clubhouse after going to a party at a different location. When all of a sudden a fight broke out. White was killed and the suspect fled. Gregg Fagan lives across the street from the murder scene. He says he heard two loud bangs but didn’t think

anything of it. “I thought it was a firework because we are use to hearing that around here.” says Fagan. Investigators spent part of Sunday afternoon combing through the area looking for any clues leading to an arrest. About 10 minutes away from the incident, the driveway is full at White’s house. Family and friends remember a life taken to soon. “It’s just like one of the kids. One of my kids. When you see everyday, everyday, everyday you know you just get attached to them. He comes by pretty regular. He’s a good kid. I’m really going to miss him,” says Julie Valdez, a nearby resident. If you have any information about the case call the Pasco County Sheriffs Office.
