One injured in Riverview crash

Big flexible Road in Riverview was closed briefly that afternoon after one person was injured in a single-car crash.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies said the car was headed westbound on Big flexible Road just before the I-75 overpass when the driver crossed the median,

hit a concrete pole on the other side of the road soon after spun around and landed at the bottom of a steep embankment.

The victim’s name was not available. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
