No blackout on Sunday

It’s official: there won’t be a blackout on Sunday.

The NFL has official declared the Giants-Bucs game a sellout (at least for television purposes), meaning the game will be televised locally at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Bucs say there are still tickets remaining, though they place the number at less than 500. Games must technically be sold out 72 hours before kickoff or a local television blackout is

implemented within 75 miles of the stadium. That deadline came and passed at 1 p.m. Thursday.

But NFL corporate communications manager Dan Masonson tells us club seating is not considered when determining whether a game will be blacked out. It appears most of the tickets remaining are high-priced, club-level seats. The Bucs expect to sell their remaining tickets before Sunday’s game.
