Nevada think-tank praises Florida’s education system

When it comes to education spending per student in relation to a state's personal income, Florida rates dead last. Yet when it comes to improving the academic performance of minority students, Florida is tops. It's "more evidence that suggests how much you spend matters far less than how effectively you spend," the Nevada Policy Research Institute contends in a blog post headlined "Florida Wins Again" : "And non-minority students weren’t

left behind: They improved, too. Florida proves that how education dollars are spent is much more important than how much is spent. " This conservative Nevada group, with its motto "finding private solutions to public problems," frequently points to Florida's education efforts as the path for its state to follow.
