National Republicans endorse Crist

John Cornyn National Republican leaders today quickly endorsed Governor Charlie Crist’s bid for the U.S. Senate. Their swift action dealt a blow to Crist’s primary opponent Marco Rubio and sent a clear signal that party leaders think the moderate governor has the best chance of winning the Senate seat. Within hours of Crist’s announcement, he was endorsed by Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and by the Republican Senate campaign chairman John Cornyn. Normally party leaders stay neutral in primary contests. Their support for Crist indicates they had encouraged him to run for the Senate to try to strengthen Republican ranks in Congress and prevent Democrats from holding a filibuster-proof majority of 60 votes. “With his record of reform in Florida, I know that Governor Crist will bring a fresh perspective to Washington in our efforts to fight for lower taxes,

The rest is here:
National Republicans endorse Crist
If the NRSC gives national money to Crist, or worse spends money against Rubio, they’ll never/ever get another dime from me. The logic of the NRSC’s involvement is beyond me. Trample the grass roots. Give the Dems a clear target. Spend money they’ll need later. (Sound familiar). The only bright spot about the endorsement is the Dems now also see Crist as the one to beat and are already using his liberal record against him. If Rubio can beat Charlie in the primary, (a real possibility even if the idiot NRSC is involved), that would have huge national implications that would begin the Republican Party’s salvation.
The Rebublicans on Capital Hill need to wake up and smell the roses, or is it the stink. The problem with the current party is that it has moved too far left and by endorsing Charlie Crist they are just moving even further so. The voting public is tired of it and will NOT keep voting for them, for Crist or for the Republican Party if they don’t wake up. It is time that we return to conservative, constitutional values.
DONT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THE RPOF/NRSC OR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY…GIVE YOUR DONATIONS TO THE CANIDATES LIKE CONSERVATIVE MARCO RUBIO AND FIGHT BACK THESE LIBERAL REPUBLICANS!!!!
3.8 million uninsured Floridians and Crist is promoting “Cover Florida” insurance which has a maximum benefit of $25,000. Crist says the program has “robust” benefits. Crist is lost in the stone age. A cancer can cost $500,000 so $25,000 is a bit short of real coverage. Crist has never considered Republican health care reform and the tax free HSA. Support Marco Rubio instead of the liberal Crist.
Support goes to Charlie Crist, who supported Obama and his stimulus package?? The NRSC is morphing into another Democratic political machine. The NRSC has lost all bitching rights when the Specters and Powells align with the left.
I would vote for a dog before I will vote for Charlie Christ he is another Arlen Spectre…..no thank you! He follows around after Obama like a dog in heat.
If the RSNC continues handing us these liberals I will become an Independant. Let the poeple decide who their choice will be!
Personally, I’m not a big fan of Charlie Crist. I think he’s been asleep at the wheel while Florida jobs continue to disappear.
I work for a company named Sallie Mae. Sallie Mae is a lender and processor of student loans located in Lynn Haven, Florida and employes up to 700 people. Lynn Haven is a moderately small town with a population of approximately 15,300. Congress is currently considering a law that would take away those jobs by having the Federal Government take over the student lending process. There is an alternative to Congress wiping out the livelihoods of so many families in a small Florida town. A petition is being put forth to the Florida representatives at http://www.protectfloridajobs.com in an effort to try to save Florida jobs. The alternative plan proposed would not only save jobs for hundreds of families but would also create a more competitive marketplace for loans.
We need your help. Please take a moment and sign the petition. It is critical that we express to our elected officials the need to keep Florida jobs in Florida. We can no longer wait on our politician’s to stand up for Florida Jobs. We need to speak up!
