Meyer’s search for running backs coach continues

Florida is still in the market for a running backs coach after Clemson running backs coach Andre Powell declined an offer by Urban Meyer to be interviewed for the vacant position at Florida, according to The State newspaper in South Carolina.

Meyer had hoped to interview Powell about the running backs position and special teams, but Powell has

strong ties to the area. His wife is a high school basketball coach and he said he enjoys working for coach Tommy Bowden.

UF’s running backs coach Stan Drayton left the program to join Tennessee’s staff final week, after he was reportedly told he wold not be retained on the staff.
