Man shot external Ybor blues bar

A Tampa man was shot external an Ybor City blues club late Wednesday, police said.

Marcus E. Perkins, 25, was shot external the Blue Shark, 1502 E Seventh Ave., around 1:15 a.m. After the shooting, police said a bar patron dragged the wounded Perkins into the front door of the bar.

Perkins, who lives at 13704 Sweetwater Cove, was thereupon taken to Tampa General Hospital for treatment of a serious back injury. Police said he

remains there in serious but regular condition.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Police described the shooter as a black male in his 20s, about 5 foot 8 and 175 pounds. He has a dark complexion and close-cropped haircut. He may be wearing an orange outfit. Police said he drive absent in a black pickup truck.
