Joseph Edmund Chiquet, 35, is set to stand trial next week on charges of lewd and lascivious battery and possession of child pornography in Manatee County. But now he has more legal woes. Chiquet has been charged with trying to bribe a woman to lie for him in his upcoming trial, reports The Bradenton Herald. Chiquet wanted the woman, an ex-girlfriend who is the mother of his son, to testify that it was her, and not a 15-year-old girl, in photographs that investigators

recovered from his computer, reports the Herald. Chiquet told the woman during a monitored telephone call last month that he would even pay her $10,000 to go along with the charade, according to a report from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
