Lowry Park Zoo smoking ban expands starting March 29

TAMPA — Responding to visitor feedback, Lowry Park Zoo officials announced Monday that the facility will largely become smoke-free beginning March 29.

Several designated smoking areas will dot the zoo’s 56 acres, but officials say

those areas will be far from guest walkways and animal exhibits.

The new policy adds onto the zoo’s existing smoking ban in all common areas and indoor buildings.
