It didn’t take long for the Dolphins to make some headlines as free agency opened at midnight. Speaking on NFL Live, Arizona Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby – considered the team’s No. 1 target – said he plans to visit South Florida on Friday to meet the Dolphins. Dansby reportedly seeks $30 million in guaranteed money, but Bill Parcells has had his eye on Dansby for some time. During last year’s Super Bowl in Tampa, Dansby recalled when Parcells was the coach of the Cowboys and told Dansby he wanted to get him on his team one day. Well, here’s Parcells’ chance to lock up Dansby before he gets on an airplane and heads off to meet with another team. If the Dolphins don’t sign Dansby, he could end up with the Redskins or the Giants. “Right now I’m just poised and ready to go,” said Dansby, who also acknowledged he and his advisers “have some other things lined up.” The Washington Post reports Dansby is No. 2 on the team’s wish list behind Pro Bowl DE Julius Peppers.
