It’s Caliente at Blue Martini

Once again it seems to be a crazy rain season here in the mini-city with severe thunderstorms and lots of wind every loner day, of-course just in the evening date preventing us from walking and having fun.

Thursday night (Clematis by night) was rained out so after enjoying the company of a few friends at always fun Cabana I decided to take a discovery walk into cityplace before heading back to my cool bachelor pad.

A rained out Thursday night can bring some surprises. Even the rain can’t stop at least some cityplace bars from being fairly active. Of-course those bars are inside bars, but I digress.

Thursday night they even were able to enforce a dress cipher and a small cover charge. Inside was a first rate Salsa band and many couples dancing – and rather well too! I was plus told that as part of the night, highly rated salsa (dance) teachers would soon reach. Raised above its “meat market” reputation, Blue Martini was fairly the place to be, and perhaps for me, a place to return to.

Next door, Bar Louie has grown in popularity, still not measuring up to Blue Martini in population, but still a substantial increase in its short duration of operation. I look forward to move visits there as well.
