Former FBI agent Bob Levinson of Coral Springs disappeared while working in Iran a thousand days ago, but a new development has renewed his family’s hopes of finding him and bringing him home. Christine Levinson, who has tapped the highest levels of the U.S. government to help find her husband, was heartened when Iranian officials asked her a series of questions about his trip to Iran. Bob Levinson with family “I am hopeful that because they are asking the same questions again that they asked in the beginning that they have new information that would help me find my husband and bring him home,” she told reporters in Washington on Thursday while meeting with Florida Senator Bill Nelson. She said the Iranians wanted to know: “What was Bob doing over there? Did he have a satellite phone? Who paid for his trip…?” She said she told them: “He was investigating cigarette smuggling for clients. No one is responsible for him but himself.
