A festival … devoted to one alcoholic drink … in the Panhandle. Nope, not a surprise. And it broke two records last year — one for attendance and one for arrests. Nope, not a surprise. So get ready: This weekend marks the 24th annual Bushwacker & Music Festival, presented by Capt’n Fun Beach Club. The fest is dedicated to Pensacola’s favorite adult milkshake, a drink called the Bushwacker. It’s a potent combination of rum, coffee liqueur, creme de cacao and some sort of dairy base, such as ice cream, milk, cream, half

and half or a combination, reports the Pensacola News Journal Many bars offer an option of adding an extra shot of rum — usually a high-alcohol rum such as Bacardi 151 — to the concoction for an extra kick. Last year the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office reported 52 arrests — up from 28 from 2008, reports WEAR TV News. You can dance off the alcohol: Check out the music lineup .
