Frankel raised $320,000 in the last quarter

Congressional candidate Lois Frankel said on Tuesday she raised more than $320,000 in the last three months of 2011 and has amassed $1.4 million to challenge Republican Congressman Allen West. She said the vast majority of this money came from Broward and Palm Beach counties. Frankel, the Democratic former mayor of West Palm Beach, boasted that she is one of the biggest fundraisers among congressional candidates. Probably true, but West raised more than

$1.4 million in each of the two previous quarters of 2011. He has not disclosed his haul for the last quarter. Another Democrat in the race, Patrick Murphy, reported raising more than $300,000 in the last quarter. The battle for the 22nd district, including parts of Broward and Palm Beach counties, is one of the most expensive in the country.
