Egg-smashing birthday bash lands man in jail

Police said several people were at a Saturday night birthday party. As they gathered for the cake ceremony, a man walked up and broke three eggs on the birthday celebrant’s head, reports Florida Today in Melbourne. Angel Sanchez, 47, of Palm Bay, thought this was disrespectful. He told the man, “If you were in my country, Cuba, I would’ve killed you,” according to reports. The man told Sanchez, “We are in America, this is a celebration in America,” according to Florida Today. Things heated up and Sanchez punched the man in

the eye, then fled from the birthday party before officers arrived, reports Florida Today. Witnesses told police officers that the birthday celebrant, who is a deaf adult, did not mind being targeted with eggs and was not hurt. And, yes, Sanchez and the man he punched had been drinking.
