Dolphins’ Pro Bowl alternates remain a mystery

Left tackle Jake Long might be the only player to represent the Dolphins Jan. 31 during Pro Bowl in South Florida. Injuries always open up spots for the game’s alternates. A season ago, Long, the No. 1 alternate at tackle, played in the game when Buffalo’s Jason Peters was injured. This season, there could be even more openings because players from the two Super Bowl participants will sit out because the game will be played the following Sunday. Miami fullback Lousaka Polite is the No. 2 alternate at his position, but he’s not the only Dolphins’ alternate.
