Crist looking for diversity on Supreme Court

The Buzz is that Gov. Charlie Crist isn’t entirely happy with the lack of diversity among the slate of judicial candidates coming before him for the two openings on the Florida Supreme Court. The Florida Judicial Nominating Commission nominated eight men, only two of which were Hispanic. No women, no African-Americans.

When asked

about the lack of diversity Thursday afternoon, Crist said that: “I’ve got several concerns about it, so I’m looking at what my options are.”

Gov. Crist has the authority to ask the Judicial Nominating Commission to go back and reconsider. He wouldn’t be the first.
