Broadway comes to West Palm Beach

The Kravis Center, one of our finer institutions of learning, theatre and arts recently introduced their newest program called Kravis On Broadway.

Over the course of the “season” (i.e. when our older and wiser residents return to the mini-city and beyond) Kravis On Broadway will feature five distinct world course shows. In addition to the opera, the ballet, the music, and the already diverse variety of shows and performances available, that new series will assemble our mini-city even more of a cultural powerhouse.

Planned shows include: Avenue Q, A show about trying to form it in NYC with a small bank detail, The Drowsy Chaperone, a show set in the late 20’s, Legally Blonde, based upon the film about

a blonde who’s not a ditz and proves it by making it in Havard Law School yes, the dog is in it too, Fiddler on the Roof, a rather famous story of the change in the lives of Jews in Russia set just before the change to communism, and The Wizard of Oz, an equally well known story of allegory and a girl who gets caught up in a turbulent wind storm. Ok, you probably know the ending to all of these stories but they are fun to watch by and by again.

Memberships are available for the entire season or you can opt for just a separate show, contact the Kravis Center @ 561-832-7469 or 1-800-572-8471.
