Looking for a job? Grab out your resume, because you could have one by the end of the day. The Tampa Bay Job and Career Fair kicks off this morning at the St. Pete Times Forum. Organizers say more than 40 local companies will be hiring from entry level to management positions. In Florida 970,000 are out of work, that’s a 10.6 percent unemployment rate—the highest in the state since 1975. Many people say they have bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees even, but still are having trouble finding positions. Others say they’ve been without work for months, maybe even a year at this

point, with no real options. “It’s been a very long hard road, but you just have to stay persistent, you know, stay focused and just keep trying,” said Frederick White, who’s currently looking for work. “At some point I’m going to break through that glass ceiling.” Job seekers are advised to bring at least 20 copies of their resumes and wear business attire. The free job fair runs from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the St. Pete Times Forum.  For more information, click on over to www.tampabayjobfair.com .
