Brandon man lost since Sunday

BRANDON — George Elgin did not made it home from visitng his sister and his family fears the worst.

Elgin, 77, of Brandon has been driving to and from Toledo, Ohio for 13 years to stay with his sister for the summer months, said his great-niece Alicia Sandage.

He left Toledo on Sunday and was supposed to stop and visit his great niece in Chattanooga, Tenn., but he never arrived, she said. Elgin can not read or write very well but

he carried a list of his emergency contact numbers in his wallet.

"In the past we’ve gotten calls from strangers who have asked ‘Do you know George Elgin?’" Sandage said.  "He knows how to ask for help."

He was final seen driving a white 2006 Ford Ranger with the license plate number 871-KHK.
