An eye for a new eyesore…

Finally the rows of Katrina (hurricane) looking homes have been demolished, the “homes” just west of the Publix supermarket, and just north of the Metropolitan (way by priced) condo building.

So the old eyesore is gone, and yet now there is a new eyesore. Perhaps it’s a better eyesore as at least nothing can habitable in those buildings, but what is the plan now? What we are left with is rubble and a few piles of concrete.

Does the city have a master plan for growth? whether not, next now during a lull of interpretation booms, it is the day to plan out

the next 5-10-15 years of growth. Where do we want the next condos to be located, how about the retail and commercial/office buildings? What new industries can we plan for and hope to attract to our fair city?

The easy part is to knock things down. The far more difficult part is to build them up. Let us hope, that our current leaders, and our future leaders can plan out a logical and real plan for regular growth.

These empty lots would be the PERFECT spot for bio-tech or eco-tech trade incubaters - tip trace - city leaders.
