$5.1 million in renovations for Miller Park

Little Leaguers in Delray Beach are looking forward to Miller Park’s long-awaited face-lift.

The upgrades will include expanding the one dedicated Little League field to three. One of them will have adjustable base lengths for various ages, said Terry Zanzucchi, president of the Delray Beach National Little League.

Once work begins in early 2008, the challenge will be finding available

green space to play their games while the work is being done, Zanzucchi said.

The estimate is that it will take a year to complete the park, Zanzucchi said. “So, come the first Saturday in March 2009, we’ll be out on these new fields,” he said. “It will be an exciting day for us.”
