13-year-old stabbed at Florida basketball game

Authorities in Lee County are looking for a person who stabbed a teenager at a basketball game in Lehigh Acres, the Associated Press reports. Sheriff’s office spokesman John Sheehan said the 13-year-old was stabbed at Varsity Lakes Middle School.

The boy was stabbed in the side, shoulder and leg. Sheehan

says the injuries are not considered life threatening, but the boy’s condition is not yet known.

No arrests have been made.

Sheehan says the teenager was fighting with another boy who had a knife. The suspect fled after the attack.
